Dustin Lee Heacock, the son of Ron Pixler and Stephanie Mathers, was born on February 11, 1988, in Omaha, Ne. He moved to Storm Lake, Iowa in his youth to live with his dad; where he attended Laurens Marathon High School and graduated from Storm Lake High School in 2008.
After graduation, he entered basic training for the Army at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO and also completed advanced individual training there as military Police officer. He completed airborne training in 2009, was level 2 combative qualified and completed warrior leader course in 2012. He was awarded the Army Achievement Medal and various other awards during his 6 years of active service. After Combat Training he was stationed in Washington D.C. at Fort Myer as a member of the 289th Military Police Company "THE OLD GUARD". He also participated in the 57th Presidential Inauguration.
Dustin dedicated his life to service to his country and spent his off duty time with his family and friends. Dustin was known as a "Ladies Man" and lived life to the fullest.
Dustin passed away on August 19, 2014, in Omaha, NE, at the age of 26. He was preceded in death by one uncle, Wayne Pixler and will be laid to rest next to him.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Stephanie Mathers of Omaha, NE; his father, Ron Pixler of Laurens, IA; his stepfather, Doug Heacock of Blue Springs, MO; three brothers: Ryan Pixler of Spencer, IA, Daniel Heacock of Independence, MO and Zach Heacock of Omaha, NE; his sister, Samantha Heacock of Omaha, NE; his stepsister, Megan Heacock of Blue Springs, MO; his grandparents Peter and Suzanne Mathers of Omaha, NE; his grandfather Charles Pixler of Omaha, NE; his grandparents Janet and Luverne Runneberg of Everly, IA; many aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will take place 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, August 26, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spencer.
