Earl Junior Taylor

Earl Junior Taylor the son of Bayard and Alta Fink Taylor, was born March 13, 1931 in Langdon, IA. Earl received his early education at a country school in the Langdon area. Earl married Ruth Arlene Pettit on July 2, 1950, in Jackson, Minnesota. Following their marriage, they lived in the Spencer, Langdon and Dickens, Iowa area where he worked at the Spencer Pack, Spencer Sale Barn, and Dickens Elevator along with farming. Earl enjoyed buying, selling and riding horses and he also raised cattle. Most of all, Earl enjoyed being on the farm and spending time with his family and friends. Earl passed away at his home in Dickens, Iowa, on Friday, May 10, 2013, at the age of 82. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ruth on May 17, 2002 and 2 brothers, Dale and Ralph Taylor; one son-in-law, Larry Jordan. Left to cherish his memory are 5 daughters, Cheri Jordan of Dickens, IA, Gloria (Gary) Hensley of Chillicothe, MO, Debbie (Tom) Brekke of Spirit Lake, IA, Donna Schoorman of Milford, IA, and Vickie (Joe) Thornton of Emmetsburg, IA; 9 grandchildren, T.J., Chris, Brian, Jennifer, Jena, Wes, Brad, Clara, and Taylor; 7 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; 2 brothers, Bud and Melvin Taylor; 2 sisters, Dort Beck and Effie (Earl) Curry; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will take place 1:30 P.M., Tuesday, May 14, at Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.
