Edna Ruth 'Tiny' Jensen

Edna Ruth 'Tiny' Jensen, the daughter of Harry W. and Edna (Miller) Henderson, was born December 12, 1939 on the family farm near Emmetsburg, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in Emmetsburg, where she received her education at Emmetsburg High School. Years later, 'Tiny' went back and earned her G.E.D. Tiny married Russell Jensen on December 31, 1965 in Fairmont, MN. Following their marriage, they lived in Spencer, Iowa, where they made their home. She worked at Wonder Bread for several years and later worked at J.C. Penney's for many years, until her retirement in May of 2002. She enjoyed camping in their motorhome, going to the casino, shopping, fishing and enjoying the outdoors. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Spencer. She passed away at the Ruthven Care Center in Ruthven, Iowa on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the age of 73. Tiny was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Darlene Fitzner. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Russell of Spencer; one daughter, Linda and her husband, Brian Fairchild of Everly; two granddaughters: Robin Fairchild of Minneapolis, MN and Kelli Ireland and her husband, Jake of Albert Lea, MN; one sister, Bonnie Hall of Clinton, IA; two brothers: Robert Henderson of Emmetsburg, IA and Dr. John Henderson of Angola, IN; other relatives and friends.
