Elaine Wacker

Elaine Joan Wacker, the daughter of Harry and Nora (Holtgrewe) Tesch, was born November 28, 1934 in Paullina, IA. Elaine passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the age of 76. She was baptized on December 9, 1934 at the Evangelical St. John's Lutheran Church in Germantown and confirmed on May 16, 1948 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina. Elaine graduated from Primghar High School in 1952. Elaine married Dale Wacker on March 21, 1954 in Paullina. Following their marriage, they lived in Hartley where they raised their family. They resided in Wahpeton in 1992, until moving back to Hartley in 2006. She was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hartley. Elaine was a homemaker and talented seamstress. Her first love was always her family and friends. She also enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping, playing cards, and going to dances. Elaine was preceded in death by her father. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Dale Wacker of Hartley; her mother, Nora Tesch; her four children and their spouses: Becky and Wayne Naylor of Dallas, TX, Nona and Harlyn Hengeveld of Hartley, Lon and Teresa Wacker of Hartley and Darren and Angela Wacker of Ankeny, IA; her grandchildren: Nicole (Naylor) Bennett, Thomas Hengeveld, Nathan Naylor, Elisha Wacker, Jonathan Hengeveld, Rachel (Wacker) Bailey, Adam Hengeveld, Breanna Wacker, Abigail Wacker and Maegan Wacker; seven great grandchildren: Lexis & Colton Bennett, Peyton & Cash Naylor, Tori Wacker, and Saige & Marsha Hengeveld; one sister, Sharon Kohn and her husband, Tim of Ashton, IA; three brothers and their wives: Harlen and Velma Tesch of Milford, IA, Eldon and Harriet Tesch and Dale and Rita Tesch all of Wahpeton; other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hartley.
