Elizabeth Jean Sanders

December 27, 1917 — October 5, 2007

Elizabeth R. Sanders, age 89, died on October 5, 2007 at the Spencer Hospital after a short illness. She resided at Northshire Assisted Living Center in Spencer for the past 6 years. She was born in Morgantown, Vest Virginia on December 27, 1917. On December 23, 1938, she married Ben B. Sanders and moved to Knoxville, Tennessee. In 1944, Ben and Betty Sanders moved to Spencer, Iowa and purchased KICD AM Radio. They operated the Stations until 1982, when they sol the operation to their son, Bill. Ben and Betty lived in the Sarasota, Florida area for 31 years, prior to moving back to Spencer in 1992. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2002. Elizabeth is survived by her three children, Bill and Rebecca Sanders of Arnolds Park, Iowa and Charles and Louise of Sarasota, Florida.

SERVICES

Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, October 8, 2007 at the North Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Spencer.
