Ernest Dale 'E.D. Junior' Kruse

Ernest Dale Kruse, the son of Ernest H. and Amanda Schmidt Kruse was born September 6, 1925, in Spencer, Iowa. Junior's childhood was spent on the family farm where he farmed with his father. He received his education in Rossie. On March 24, 1946, Junior was united in marriage to Loretta Sheller of Gillette Grove, Iowa. Following their marriage, they farmed the family place along with their two sons, Ernest (Lynn) and Lance. Junior and Loretta had celebrated their 66 years of marriage. Junior's lifetime ambition was farming. He enjoyed traveling, bowling, going to dances with Loretta and spending time with his family and friends. He loved his family very much, was a wonderful father, 'grandpa' and good provider. His greatest passion was his dedication to the 'Shriners'. He was an active participant in the ATV Club performing in parades all over. He was honored as a 50 year member of the Eastern Star and the Masonic Temple. Junior was also a lifetime member of the Moose Lodge in Spencer. Junior passed away on June 21, 2012 at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 86. He was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Loretta of Royal; two sons and their wives: Lynn (Sue) Kruse of Bradenton, FL and their children: Brent (Jen) Kylie & Jackson Kruse of Bradenton, FL, Holly (Jose) Joseph & Abigail Molina of Sioux Center, IA; Lance (Rhonda) Kruse of Royal, IA and their children: Ljay (Megan) Savanah Kruse of Council Bluffs, IA, Jesse (Ashley) Isla of Council Bluffs, IA and Joshua Kruse of Royal, IA; along with other relatives and many friends.
