Eugene Nicholas Martini

     Eugene Nicholas Martini, the son of Eugene and Cecelia (Finnegan) Martini, was born February 22, 1947 in Ft. Dodge, Iowa.  His childhood years were spent in Whittemore, Ames, and Emmetsburg, Iowa, where he received his education, graduating from Emmetsburg Catholic High School in 1965.  He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Emmetsburg.  After his schooling, he entered the military and served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict until his honorable discharge.

     He married Lynn Lloyd in 1975 in Chicago, Illinois. To this union, two sons were born: John and Nicholas.  Eugene and Lynn later divorced and Eugene lived periodically in Iowa, Arizona and Illinois until retiring in Spencer, Iowa.

     Eugene passed away at his home in Spencer on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at the age of 71.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Jean Marie and John.

     He is survived by his two sons: John (Missy) Martini of Ayrshire, IA and Nicholas Martini of Phoenix, AZ; five grandchildren: Macaela, Maddy, Johnny, Tony and Gracie; two sisters: Mary (Colin) Reuter of Colorado and Teresa (Gerry) Gartner of New Hampshire; other relatives and friends.

SERVICES
Memorial services will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 5th, 2018 at the Warner Chapel in Spencer. 

Military services will be conducted by American Legion Glen Pedersen Post #1 and V.F.W. Clay County Post #3159 of Spencer following the memorial services.
