Eula Marie Belken, the daughter of Orville and Loretta (Bennett) Utley was born November 11, 1944 in Spencer, IA. Her childhood years were spent in the Spencer area, where she attended Spencer schools.
Eula married Dale Belken on April 7, 1961 in Spencer. They lived in Spencer until 1984, when they moved to Lost Island Lake in Ruthven, IA. She worked for Eaton Corp. for 23 years and also worked part-time for Saint Luke Lutheran Homes. She enjoyed quilting, gambling, traveling, coffee with friends, and spending time at the lake. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Spencer.
Eula passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Ruthven Care Center, at the age of 74. She was preceded in death her parents; her husband, Dale; one son, Morris; one daughter, Joan Jean; 3 brothers, Robert, Kenneth, and Donald Utley; and 4 sisters, Wanda Foster, Lucille Clayton, Vida, and Carolyn.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Tony (Sue) Belken of Ruthven, IA; 2 grandchildren, Kayla and Christina; 3 great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, Keaton, and Conner; 2 brothers, Gale (Jeanette) Utley of Walnut Grove, AR, Orley (Gloria) Utley of Spencer, IA; 3 sisters, Lillian (Ken) Cunningham of Webster City, IA, Marilyn Brustares of Spencer, IA, and Gloria Ann Tiverend of Nashville, IL; other relatives; and many friends
