Evelyn Rose Miller

February 20, 1912 — March 6, 2016

Evelyn Rose Miller was the first born of eight children to George Henry and Clara Belle (Grans) Raveling. She grew up in the Peterson area. She helped on the farm with her family who owned and operated Midway Dairy which sold bottled milk. Evelyn was united in marriage to Freeman August Miller on January 6, 1934 at the age of 22. To them five children were born. She enjoyed playing cards, sewing, quilting, embroidery, camping, fishing, old time music, dancing, ceramics, and cooking. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. Evelyn passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Sutherland Care Center in Sutherland, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 sons, August and Jim Miller, and one great-grandson, Johnathan Zylstra. Left to cherish her memory are her 3 children, Bonnie (Dick) Bronson of Duluth, MN, Robert (Shirley) Miller of Sutherland, IA, and Ronald (Judy) Miller of Spencer, IA; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; other relatives; and many friends.

SERVICES

Funeral services will take place 11:00 A.M., Friday, March 11, at the United Methodist Church in Sutherland.

Visitation will take place Thursday, March 10, at Warner Funeral Home in Sutherland, starting at 4:00 P.M., with family present from 5-7:00 P.M.
