Everett C. Nelson

Everett C. Nelson, 88, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Stetson Court Living in Stockton. Everett was born August 24, 1927 in Superior, IA to Jens and Lettie Nelson. He was a 57 year resident of Tracy, CA. He served in the US Army and US Air Force in Otsu, Honshu, Japan during WWII. He worked as a Line Truck Driver for Laura Scudders Tracy plant for 35 years. He was a parishioner of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Tracy. He was a member of Veterans of War, Tracy post #1537 for many years. He was a private pilot and enjoyed flying his Cessna 170 out of the Tracy Airport. He enjoyed fishing, camping, going to watch grandchildren play sports, traveling to Iowa and Denver, CO to visit with family and friends and to VFW functions throughout the United States. He loved the time spent with family and friends. He is survived by children: Robert Nelson and his wife Sherree Harris-Nelson of Stockton, CA, Everett C. Nelson, Jr. of Manteca, CA, and Roger Nelson of Visalia, CA, grandchildren: Marisa Negley and her husband Emerson of Denver, CO, Robert Nelson, Jr. and his wife Dede of Stockton, CA, Ashlee England and her husband, Dustin of Edmond, OK and Blake Sockwell of Mustang, OK and great-grandchild: Deven Nelson of Turlock, CA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Nelson (passed 1984, married 35 years), siblings: LaVern Nelson, and Betty McGuire.
