Faye Braunschweig

March 23, 1924 — November 30, 2008

Margaret Faye Braunschweig, the daughter of Lawrence and Marie Roberts (Gregory) Phillips, was born March 23, 1924, in Monroe, LA. Her childhood years were spent in Oak Ridge, LA, where she received her education, graduating from Oak Ridge High School. Faye married Gladwin Braunschweig on April 22, 1945. Following their marriage, they lived in the Sutherland and Peterson area, where she was a homemaker. She did a lot of volunteer work during her life and was a past member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Following her husband's death, Faye moved to Spencer, Iowa in 1993, where she was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the Hospital Auxiliary, RSVP and the DAR. Faye also worked as a teacher's aide and enjoyed reading. Faye passed away at the Spencer Hospital on Sunday, November 30, 2008, at the age of 84. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gladwin in January of 1988; two sisters: Lela and Jeraldine and a brother, Tommy Phillips; two son-in-laws: Kevin Oehler and Rodney Nolan. Left to cherish her memory are one son, Paul Braunschweig and his wife, Jody of Alta, IA; four daughters: Melanie Nolan of Kingwood, TX, Gladys and her husband, Russell Heys of Albert Lea, MN, Elizabeth and her husband, Hugh Warner of Fergus Falls, MN and Theresa and her husband, Norman Linden of Wallingford, IA; 17 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; one sister, Jimmie Kramer of Alexandria, LA; other relatives and many friends.

SERVICES

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Spencer.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9:00 P.M., Tuesday with the family present from 5 to 7:00 P.M., Tuesday Evening at the Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.

INTERMENT

Waterman Cemetery Sutherland, Iowa A lunch will immediately follow the services at the church. Graveside services will be held 3:30 P.M, Wednesday following the lunch at the church.
