Fern Webster

July 28, 1925 — April 1, 2017

Fern Leona Webster, the daughter of Clarence and Clara (Batcheler) Webster was born July 28, 1925, in rural Peterson, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in the Peterson area where she attended school. Fern enjoyed playing checkers, bingo, crafting, bible study, spending time at the swimming pool, and spending time with friends and family. She was a member of Legion Auxiliary and Color Guard. She was also a member of Maple Grove Church in rural Sutherland, Iowa. She spent her entire life in the Peterson area until she moved to Hawkeye Care Center in Sioux Rapids, Iowa, in 2016. Fern passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at the age of 91 at the Spencer Hospital in Spencer, IA, surrounded by her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Wendell Webster; one sister, Dorothy Winterboer; and one nephew, Paul Anderson. Left to cherish her memory are her nieces and nephews, Wanda (Willie) Willems of Cleghorn, IA, JoAnn Anderson of Peterson, IA, Jonathan (Cherie) Winterboer of Peterson, IA, Donna Schnieder (Mike Struecker) of Whittemore, IA, Suzane Vandersluis (Steve Cargin) of Sutherland, IA; great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

SERVICES

Funeral services will take place 10:00 A.M., Friday, April 7, at Maple Grove Church in Rural Sutherland.

VISITATION
