Florence Alma Rusch, the daughter of Roy T. and Ella (Moon) Pullen, was born February 19, 1912 in Spencer, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent on a farm north of Spencer. She attended Spencer schools, where she graduated from Spencer High School.
She was united in marriage to LeRoy Rusch on November 28, 1936 in Spencer, Iowa, and they continued to make Spencer their home. Florence was a partner in the company and worked for Arnold Motor Supply for 37 years, retiring in 1966 to care for her husband who had ill health. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Abu Bekr Shrine Auxiliary and the Women of the Moose.
Florence passed away at her home in Spencer on Monday, December 12, 2016 at the age of 104. She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy in 1994 and five brothers: Harvey, Stanley, Gilbert, Si and Ray.
Left to cherish her memory are one stepbrother, Jack Spitler and his wife, Holly of Rock Rapids, IA; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
Memorial services will take place 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 30, 2017 at Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.
