Frances Lea Marshall

Frances Lea Marshall, the daughter of John and Norma (Daugherty) Johnson, was born December 30, 1948 in Spencer, Iowa. She was born and raised in Spencer, where she received her education, graduating from Spencer High School in 1967. After high school, she lived in California for two years, where her daughter was born and then moved to Omaha, where her son was born. She later returned to Spencer, where she attended Iowa Lakes Community College from 1974 to 1976 and received her AA degree. Frances married Robert George Marshall on December 8, 1976 in Spencer. In Spencer, she began her medical career at Community Health Services through Spencer Hospital, where she was employed for more than 35 years. She was an active member of Faith Pentecostal Church in Spencer. She was also a member of the Girl Scout and was a Boy Scout Leader. Frances was an avid reader, loved to garden and decorating the house, especially during the holidays. She passed away at the Spencer Hospital on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the age of 62. Frances was preceded in death by her father and her husband, Robert in 1979 and one brother, Harland. Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Norma Johnson of Spencer; one daughter, Christina Frink and her husband, Ed of Spencer; one son, Robert Marshall and his wife, Ann of Hartley; 13 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; three sisters: Mary O'Hara and her husband, Tom of Minneapolis, MN, Barbara Edwards and her husband, John of Waukegan, IL and Phyllis Fahlenkamp and her husband, Randy of Hartley, IA; one brother, Marion Johnson and his wife, Barb of Storm Lake, IA; other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
Memorial services will be held 10:30 A.M., Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Faith Pentecostal Church in Spencer. A lunch and time of fellowship will immediately follow the memorial services at the church.

There will be no public visitation.

INTERMENT
Lone Tree Cemetery Everly, Iowa Prior to the services at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family has established a memorial fund in Frances' name.
