Frances Rose Ryker, the daughter of Harold and Frances Harback Rupert, was born June 24, 1916 in Clay County, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in the Spencer area, where she received her education.
Frances married Forrest Dell Ryker on December 14, 1937, in Spencer, Iowa. Following their marriage, they continued to live in Spencer. She was a member of the Faith Pentecostal Church in Spencer. She also enjoyed raising flowers and gardening.
Frances passed away at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer on Saturday, August 5, 2006, at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Forrest on August 21, 1983; three brothers: Amos, Allen, and Charles; two sisters: Arlene Bowlin, Dorothy Phillips; two stepsons: Donald and LeeRoy.
She is survived by one son, Larry Dell Ryker of Spencer; two grandchildren: Kimberly and Robert; 4 step grandchildren; one stepson, Irvin and his wife, Phyllis Ryker of Memphis, TN; one sister, Kay and her husband, Raymond Hanson of Ft. Dodge, IA; one brother: Robert and his wife, Mary Rupert of Cumberland, RI; one step-daughter-in-law, Rose Ryker, of Spencer, IA; other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Memorial Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.
