Francis "Frannie" Joseph Hoffrichter

     Francis “Frannie” Joseph Hoffrichter, the son of John and Mary (Atz) Hoffrichter was born October 16, 1934 in Spencer, IA. His childhood years were spent in the Spencer area, where he attended school and graduated from Spencer High School in.

     Frannie worked on the family farm and Spencer Pack. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1957 and served until his Honorable Discharge in 1959. He married Marilyn Daugherty on October 22, 1960 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spencer. He worked at Eaton Corp. until his retirement in 2007.

     Frannie enjoyed horseback riding, hunting, fishing, metal working, helping work with cattle, and loved being outdoors.

     Frannie passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Longhouse Residence, at the age of 88. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Johnny and Bernard; 3 sisters, Mary Ann Huss, Thereasa Brusie, and Rita Pierson.

     Left to cherish his memory are his wife Marilyn of Spencer; 3 children, Shawn (Kayle) Kuehl of Spirit Lake, IA, Stacey Hoffrichter of Spencer, IA, and Eric (Rochelle) Hoffrichter of Buda, TX; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; other relatives; and many friends.
