Franklin Dale Scott, III was born to Franklin and Jerry (Halliwill) Scott on June 2, 1957 in New Britain, CT. He attended elementary school up to 3rd grade in Connecticut until his family moved to Van Wert, Ohio. He completed the rest of his elementary and secondary education in Van Wert and graduated from Van Wert High School in 1976. He was involved in choir, band, drama, and sport activities. He also played a part in bringing TV production to the high school and enjoyed doing his own news program. While in high school, Frank was involved in Youth for Christ and The Contemporaries Singing Group. Upon graduation, he furthered his education at Ivy Tech in Ft. Wayne, Indiana in Marketing.
Frank worked at various jewelry companies in management while becoming a certified gemologist. He also was involved in computer work and had a small home business. While living in Kansas City he was very active in Promise Keepers. Frank also became a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan and started collecting sports memorabilia which later became his hobby. While in Kansas City, he was hired by Johnson Controls as an IT plant Network Administrator Manager as a result of working for Image Tech. Later he was transferred to Chesapeake, Virginia. He was diagnosed with a degenerative shoulder and bone disease along with Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome. This condition along with several surgeries made it difficult for him to work full time. During this time, he did mystery shopping and enjoyed meeting new people wherever he went. He was a very outgoing person and loved taking care of his animals and especially his two little Yorkies.
Frank passed away peacefully at his home in Chesapeake, VA on December 30, 2008. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Franklin and Willa Scott and Harold and Eva Halliwill.
