Franklyn D. Mortensen

  Franklyn Dean Mortensen was born September 20, 1938 to Dean Howard Mortensen and Ireane Mae Guy Mortensen.  He attended the Royal Community School.  He passed away on January 11, 2018 at the Pocahontas Hospital.

     He was married to Linda Ann Wilken on November 4, 1967 in Everly, Iowa.  They had three children, Paula Mortensen, Patrick Mortensen and Laurie Mortensen Hill.  He also has 5 grandchildren: Jessica Miller Russel, Ashley Miller, James Eric Hill Jr., Christopher Cody Hill and Landon Lee Hill.  Two great-granddaughters: Maykahla and Danasaha.  Great grandson, Emet Miller.  Two sisters-in-law: Janice Johnson and Sandra Harms. 

     He did body and repair work in Royal, Iowa and worked at several different places like Winnebago Ins., Marty’s Manufacturing and Sarah Lee.  Frank and his dad also owned a gas station and repair shop in Royal for many years.
