Geraldine Elaine Stamer Clausen, the daughter of Erwin and Frieda (Tesch) Mesner was born January 6, 1936 in Germantown, IA. Her childhood years were spent in Germantown, IA where she attended school.
Geraldine married Orlan Stamer on September 30, 1951 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Germantown, IA, where she was also baptized and confirmed. They farmed in Lake Park, IA, before moving back to Granville in 1964. Orlan passed away March 10, 1987. She married Leonard Clausen on March 8, 1991 in Las Vegas, NV.
Geraldine enjoyed flower gardening, farming, and her coffee group, but her biggest joy was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Ladies Aid, St. John's Lutheran Church in Germantown, and First Congregational Church in Spencer.
Geraldine passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Spencer Municipal Hospital in Spencer, IA, at the age of 78. She was preceded in death by parents; her first husband Orlan; and 2 brothers, Dewane (Bud) and Darwin Mesner.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Leonard, of Spencer, IA; 3 children, Allan (Marge) Stamer of Granville, Marilyn (Cal) Pauling of Spirit Lake, IA, and Daniel (Joanne) Stamer of Paullina, IA; 6 grandchildren, Justin and Derek Stamer, James and Michael Bierman, Breanne Erickson, and Caitlyn Cole; 10 great-grandchildren, Olivia and Brock Stamer, Sophie, Trinity and Phinnlee Bierman, Chase and Hunter Bierman, Emma and Owen Erickson, and Jacob Stamer; one sister Darlene Sickelka of Sutherland, IA, other relatives; and many friends

Funeral services will take place 11:00 A.M., Thursday, May 15, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Germantown, IA
