Gregory 'Greg' Lynn Seaman

Gregory Lynn Seaman, the son of Bob and Gloria (Mills) Seaman, was born February 19, 1949 in Spencer, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in Milford and later Spencer, Iowa, where he received his education, graduating from Spencer High School in 1968. After his schooling, he entered the military and served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge. Greg married Connie Smith on January 8, 1972 in Spencer, IA. After their marriage, they lived in the communities of Milford, Gillett Grove and Dickens, IA. He worked as an industrial worker at Eaton Corporation for 28 years until his retirement. He was active with the Special Youth Challenge (SYC) for 11 years in which he worked to give disabled youth and veterans the opportunity to hunt. Greg enjoyed fishing, playing cards, hunting, wood working, metal fabrication and spending time with family. He was proud to use his talents with woodworking to make his own casket, which he will be buried in. Greg passed away at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at the age of 66. He was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Connie of Dickens; his children: Josh Seaman and his wife, Lisa of Hartley, IA, Kelly Johnson and her husband, Mike of Virginia and Jacob Seaman and his girlfriend, Jessie of Spencer; 8 grandchildren; one sister, Terry Frerichs and her husband, Dave of Spencer; one brother, Jeff Seaman and his wife, Lisa of Spencer; other relatives and many friends.
