Harold Leslie Eninger, the son of Keith and Rose (Svec) Eninger, was born March 14, 1927 in Middle Inlet, Wisconsin. His childhood years were spent on a farm southwest of Spencer where he received his education, graduating from Spencer High School in 1945. Harold entered the military in 1945 and served with the U.S. Army until his honorable discharge in November of 1946. While in the military, he served in the Dragoon Rider Platoon, where he toured the country presenting to many, including General Eisenhower. He moved to a farm south of Rossie shortly before his first marriage.
Harold married Patricia Sebastian on October 3, 1954 in Spencer. After their marriage, they farmed near Spencer. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Spencer. Harold was also a member of the Farm Bureau and enjoyed gardening. Patricia passed away in 1993.
Harold married Jeanne Wiegert in June of 1999. The moved to his farm until later moving to town in Spencer.
He passed away at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer, Iowa on Friday, November 22, 2019 at the age of 92. Harold was preceded in death by his parents; his 1st wife, Patricia; his 2nd wife, Jeanne; his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Wanda Eninger and sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Ron Graham.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Steven Eninger of Spencer; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
