Heather Strandberg

Heather Strandberg, the daughter of Bruce and Bonnie Vrana Rahn, was born October 22, 1971, in Sac City, Iowa. She received her early education and graduated from Sac Community High School where she was active in sports and music. Heather continued her education at Wayne State, while there she was involved in Choir and traveled with them to Europe twice to sing. On August 5, 1995, Heather married Jody Strandberg at the Presbyterian Church in Sac City, Iowa. Following their marriage, they lived in Storm Lake, Alta and then Peterson. For the past 14 years, Heather was employed at Midwest Christian Services as a social worker. Heather was active with AAU Volleyball and softball, she enjoyed her life and being involved in her children's activities. In her spare time, she loved to scrapbook and play with her cat and dog. Heather passed away on April 14, 2010 at the Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa at the age of 38. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Russell Rahn; great grandmother, Dorothy Wilson; uncle, John and cousin, Brian Campbell. She is survived by her husband, Jody and children Abby and Colby all of Peterson; parents: Bruce and Bonnie Rahn of Sac City, IA; brothers: David Rahn of Mitchellville and Eric (Heidi) Rahn of Seattle; grandparents: Mary Rahn of Sac City, Joan Vrana of Sac City and John Vrana of Kirksville, Mo; other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, April 19, 2010 at the First Congregational Church in Peterson.
