Helen "Connie" Jane Peters

Helen 'Connie' Jane Peters, the daughter of Walter and Annie Speth Conrad, was born November 27, 1925 in Bingham Lake, MN.  Connie received her early education at Meadow Township School in Lake Center and graduated from Spencer High School in 1943.

     Connie married Orlin Duane Peters on June 9, 1946 in Langdon, IA.  Following their marriage, they lived near Everly, where they farmed.  Later, she worked at local dress shops and Century Lanes for 20 years.  She was an active member of Hope Lutheran Church in Everly, where she served as Bible School Teacher and ladies group.  She was also a member of the Red Hat Ladies.  In her spare time she loved bowling, getting together with her high school classmates and especially spending time with her family.

      Connie passed away on September 6, 2017 at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer at the age of 91.  She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Orlin in 2006; son, Richard; 3 sisters and 4 brothers.

     Connie is survived by her two sons and their wives: Ronald and Julie Peters and Robert and Lorie Peters all of Spencer; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
