Helen Hart

Helen Lorraine Hart, the daughter of Clarence and Marie (Colfack) Donaldson was born May 26, 1925 in Greenville, IA. Her childhood years were spent in the Webb, IA area, where she went to Garfield Country School and graduated from Webb High School in 1942. Helen worked for the Webb Bank as a teller. She married Raymond Hart on January 14, 1948 in Nashua, IA at the Little Brown Church. After her marriage Helen worked as a housewife where they lived on a farm, near Webb. Helen enjoyed playing piano, Scrabble, cooking, sewing quilts, fishing, and singing in the church choir. She also enjoyed traveling in their trailer and visiting the mountains. Helen passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at St. Luke's Nursing Home in Spencer, IA, at the age of 92. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Russell Donaldson. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Raymond 'Glenn' Hart of Spencer, IA; 2 children, Cheryl (Sam) Emond of Bullard, TX and Linda (Jim) Casey of Spencer, IA; 4 grandsons, Tim Renz, Tom (Kate) Renz, Matthew (Amy) Maurer and Eric (Lisa) Maurer; 8 great-grandchildren, Jackson and Madison Renz, Molly, Katie, Ruby, and Elizabeth Maurer, Rhys and Chase Maurer; one sister, June Christiansen of Colorado Springs, CO; other relatives; and many friends.
