Hennie Marie Rogne

Hennie Marie Rogne, the daughter of Henry and Kerstin (Olson) Olson, was born July 18, 1918, in Ruthven, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in Ruthven where she received her education, graduating from Ruthven High School. After graduation she attended Beauty School in Sioux City, IA. On January 19, 1946, Hennie married Wayne Rogne in Ruthven, IA. Following their marriage, they moved to Linn Grove and farmed for 26 years. Hennie helped her husband on the farm and took care of their four boys, who were the love of her life. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and past member of the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school and was a past member of the Legion Auxiliary in Linn Grove. Hennie liked to crochet and sew in her spare time and enjoyed cooking for her family. After retiring, they moved to the communities of Spencer, Milford and Hartley where she resided at the Senior Wellness Center and later at the Community Memorial Health Center. On Friday, June 30, 2006, Hennie passed away at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 87. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister at the age of 8. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Wayne of Hartley, IA; four sons: Richard and his wife, Marcia of Loveland, CO, Lowell and his wife, Debra of Spirit Lake, IA, Dennis of Spencer, IA and Steven and his wife, Ronda of Hartley, IA; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
