One son born was born to this union, Duane Henry, on January 26, 1946. Duane passed away on August 22, 2004 in Yuma, AZ after 28 years of marriage to his wife, Diane.
Henry (Hank) enjoyed his life as a farmer, often working with wood construction projects and groomed a large garden. Carefully thought through his work so much he was known for the saying, "if you do not use your head, you use your feet." Hank worked for several years as a security officer at the Clay County Fairgrounds, enjoying conversations with the other seasonal help and the many Fair goers. He held pride in his years of dedication of working there. Henry spent a lot of his recreation time roller skating, card games, dancing and horseback riding. Henry passed away at the Milford Nursing Center on August 10, 2010 at the age of 98.
He was preceded in death by his wife, son, his parents, two brothers (Louie and Oscar), one sister, (Marie Harkema), one niece, (Linda Stinehart) and one nephew, (Donnie Harkema).
