Inez Marcelle Peters

Inez Marcelle Peters, the daughter of Henry and Caroline (Meyer) Friedrichsen, was born on July 19, 1922, in Fort Crook, Nebraska. She was united in marriage to Earl Lawrence Peters on December 28, 1939, Hartley, Iowa. They had lived in the Hartley area all their married life. Inez supported her husband on the family farm for nearly 60 years. She also worked for over 15 years as a nurse's aide and laboratory assistant at the Hartley Hospital. She was baptized and confirmed in the Hartley Trinity United Church of Christ in 1940. Inez passed away on October 29, 2014, at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 92. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl; a son, Terry; two stepsisters: Helen Thompson and Irma Ingwersen; a stepbrother, Kenneth Carstensen and two sisters: Evelyn Hildebrand and Janice Korzak. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Jack (Diane) Peters of Belleville, IL; a daughter-in-law, LaVonne Peters of Everly, IA; her brother, Lloyd Friedrichsen of Peterson, IA; five grandchildren: Michael Ridinger, Nancy Smith, Chad Peters, Michael Peters and Chris Zahrt; 12 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
