Jack Art Schoelerman

November 7, 1941 — April 29, 2016

Jackie 'Jack' Art Schoelerman, the son of Arthur and Edna (Wede) Schoelerman was born November 7, 1941 in Spencer, IA. His childhood years were spent in the Everly, IA area, where he attended school, graduating from Everly High School. Jack married Christine Eriksen on February 11, 1962 in Everly. He was a lifelong farmer and resident of rural Everly, until moving to town in 1997. He became a commodities broker in 1993 with Comm Stock in Royal, IA, until his retirement in 2002. Jack enjoyed traveling, morning 'board' meetings at Barb's, and especially spending time with his family. He was a member of the Clay Co. Fair Board, Clay Co. Pork Producers Board, State Pork Producers Board, Schwans Advisory Board, Clay Co. Cattleman's honorary member of FFA and 4-H, Everly Gas Board, and a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Everly. Jack passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016 at the age of 74. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother, Marvis, a brother Donald, and a brother-in-law, Rodney Hilbert. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Christine of Everly, Ia; 4 children, Paula (Steve) Smith of Everly, IA, Wendy (Jay) Stein of Everly, IA, Jennifer (Chad) Kreber of Alton, IA, and Jeff (Rachel) Schoelerman of Milford, IA; 10 grandchildren, Lane and Lacey Sether, Jordan and Talor Stein, Grace and Ella Kreber, and Clare, Kate, Adam, and Matt Schoelerman; one sister, Janice Hilbert of Kearney, NE; other relatives; and many friends.
SERVICES
Funeral Services will take place 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, May 3, at Hope Lutheran Church in Everly.
