Jacob “Jake” Michael Edwards, the son of R.D. “Jack” and Edris (Grant) Edwards was born on August 18, 1954 in Storm Lake, IA. His childhood years were spent in the Marathon, IA area where he attended school. He graduated from Storm Lake High School and attended several different colleges.
Jake married Blythe Noble on June 5, 1976, they later divorced. He married Anita Tuttle on June 14, 1987, they later divorced. He worked at Hygrade in Storm Lake and Wilson’s in Cherokee, IA. He also worked as a Union Steward and a piano tuner. Jake was involved in many activities, including playing the organ at church, playing the guitar, banjo, and fiddle in several bands. He was involved in Spencer Community Theatre, he was a civil rights worker and union organizer.
Jake passed away at his home on May 18, 2018 at the age of 63. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Kristeen; and one brother, David.
Left to cherish his memory are his one brother, Dick (Carmen) Edwards of Norwalk, IA; one sister, Jacquetta (Clayton) Ross of Sioux City, IA; other relatives and many friends.
