Jacqueline 'Jackie' Sorensen

Jackie Rachael Sorensen, the daughter of Omer and Marguerite Parks O'Hearn was born March 7, 1937 in Spencer, IA. She grew up in the Spencer area graduating from Spencer High School in 1954. She married Donald Sorensen on April 7, 1958 in Riverside, CA. They later divorced.
Jackie worked for J.C. Penny's, Casey's General Store and Hy-Vee. She enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, doing crafts, and horseback riding in her younger years.
Jackie passed away Sunday, October 27, at St. Luke's Nursing Home in Spencer, at the age of 76. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Eugene O'Hearn and one sister, Janice Schultz.
Left to cherish her memory are 4 children: Duane Sorensen of Spencer, IA, Jane Carrington-Sanford of Ankeny, IA, Dawn (Chuck) Haberthur of San Antonio, TX and Jon Sorensen of Bondurant, IA; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters: Joan Koenig of Gillett Grove, IA, Pat Johnson of Spencer, IA and Janet Koenig of Spencer, IA; other relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Jackie's name.
SERVICES
A Celebration of Life will take place from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., Saturday, November 2, at Oneota Park in Spencer.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 2 at Riverside Cemetery in Spencer.
