James Marvin Hofmeyer

James Marvin Hofmeyer, the son of Helen (Espey) Walker and Terrence Hofmeyer, was born on January 17, 1971 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

     He was raised in Spencer, IA and graduated May of 1989 from Spencer High School.  Went to school to get an Associate Degree from Iowa Central in Fort Dodge, IA.

     He worked various jobs until deciding to travel with carnival and food route companies.  Which he very much enjoyed.

     James passed away after a short hospital admission, with pneumonia that led into blood clots at Sioux Falls Avera Hospital.  His wishes were to be cremated and buried at a later date.  He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, step-father, Kenneth Walker, and one step-brother, Mike Walker.

     Left cherish his memory are his mother, Helen Walker of Spencer, IA; father, Terry Hofmeyer of Marshalltown, IA; sister, Jennifer (Dennis) Botcher, of Spencer, IA; four children: Dakota Hofmeyer of Spencer, IA, Keegan Webber of Spencer, IA, Kellee Hofmeyer of Fairfield, IA and Amanda Hofmeyer of Fairfield, IA; three step-brothers: Dan (Bobbi) Walker of Hartley, IA, Tom (Carla) Walker of Spencer, IA and Bob Walker of Spencer, IA; nieces and nephews and many friends and extended family.
