Janice Lentz, the daughter of Romen and Irene Smahl Marak was born November 15, 1941 in Swisher, IA. Her childhood years were spent in Cedar Rapids where she graduated from Cedar Rapids Prairie High School.
Janice married Neal Lentz on October 21, 1963 in Cedar Rapids, IA. She worked as a legal secretary in a law firm until they moved to Spencer where she worked for Shopko for 17 years. Janice also was a cook at the Senior Center and for the last 3 years was a cashier at Cenex in Fostoria, IA.
Janice enjoyed cooking and watching cooking shows. But her real love was spending time with her family and friends. She also liked to visit people that were sick and cook their meals for them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Larry Marak.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Neal, a son, Kyle Lentz of Las Vegas, NV and a daughter, Denise Lentz of Minneapolis, MN.
SERVICES
Funeral Services for Janice Lentz will be Thursday December 10 at the First English Church in Spencer at 11:00 A.M.
