Janine Cecelia Cook

Janine Cook passed away at McKeenen Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD on Friday August 25th, 2017 at the age of 77 with her husband and children present. Janine, the daughter of Clifford and Bernice Wilmot, was born in Spencer, Iowa on June 27th, 1940. Janine's childhood was spent in Terril, Iowa where she later graduated from Terril High School in 1958. Janine married Craig Cook on October 31, 1959 in Terril and began their life together in Spencer, Iowa. Craig's job moved the family around the country where Janine created loving homes in Stillwater, Minnesota, Logan, Utah, Wichita, Kansas, and finally settling Green Bay, Wisconsin, where they have lived for the past 24 years. Some of Janine's fondest memories were from summers spent at their summer residence on West Lake Okoboji . Janine was very active member of the Lutheran Church, Garden Club and Book Club. Janine worked as florist for many years, as the attendance clerk at Spencer High School, and bookkeeper for several businesses throughout her life. In her free time, Janine loved to work with her hands with needlepoint, knitting and quilting. She loved attending her children's sporting and theater events and cheering on the Green Bay Packers. Janine's family and friends were always in her heart. Janine is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Bernice Wilmot and sister, Cheryl Thomas. Janine is survived by her husband Craig; 3 children Randy (Kim) of Grand Prairie, TX, Daughter Kim and Son Jeff of Houston,TX; 2 grandchildren Nicholas and Emily. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all the friends, family and neighbors for their support, especially those in the Triboji Beach community.
