Jeanne Nolting

September 22, 1925 — April 25, 2007

Jeanne Theda Nolting, the daughter of Oliver and Theda Lambertus Nattress, was born September 22, 1925 in Minnesota. Her early childhood years were spent near a lake in Minnesota. Her family later moved to Milford, IA, where she received her education, graduating from Milford High School in 1944. Jeanne married Lambert Fred Nolting on January 18, 1946 in Jackson, MN. Following their marriage, they moved to a farm near Milford, where she assisted her husband in the farming operation and worked outside the home at various jobs including: Fishing Tackle, Wonder Bread, McQuay's and the North Y Truck Stop. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church in Spencer. She thoroughly enjoyed showing horses and was active in four different saddle clubs. Her favorite horses were Arabians, which she bought her first one in 1958. She was well known in the horse showing circuit. Jeanne was also a natural talented artist and she received many blue ribbons at the Clay County Fair for her floral arrangements. She taught herself how to play the Hawaiian guitar and piano. Jeanne also loved visiting with people. Mrs. Nolting passed away at the Spencer Hospital on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at the age of 81. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lambert in 2003; two sisters: Opal Grobe and Olive Lundblad and a brother, Cedric Nattress. She is survived by two sons: Steven Nolting and his wife, Judi of Spencer, IA and Greg Nolting of Fort Dodge, IA; one daughter, Connie Nolting and her significant other, Gary Baumgarn of rural Milford, IA; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30a.m., Saturday, April 28, 2007, at the First English Lutheran Church.
