Jeannine Beryl (Bibler) Hansen was born on February 19, 1932, to Floyd and Gladys (Doyle) Johnson. She was the eldest sister of Arlo (Darlene) Johnson, Jocile (Sheldon, deceased) Peterson, and Eldon (Sharon) Johnson.
Jeannine graduated in 1949 from Cornell High School as valedictorian of her class.
She married Gerald Bibler on June 22, 1949, and they raised six children on a farm west of Peterson, Iowa.
Jeannine loved to sew for her children and others. She would sew for weeks, making six matching outfits for family vacations, much to the dismay of the older siblings. Painting ceramics and playing in the bell choir at her church were activities she enjoyed. She never met a baby she didn’t want to hold and doted on her grandchildren, step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
After the death of Gerald, she met and married Wayne Hansen. They spent their retirement traveling in their 5th-wheel camper and spending winters at their home in Texas. While in Texas, she and Wayne adopted a blonde Chihuahua puppy, Cookie, who she loved like one of her children.
Her husband, Gerald; her parents, Floyd and Gladys Johnson; daughter, Joann; son, Allen; daughter-in-law, Cindy; grandson, Nicholas Wede; granddaughter, Shannon (Bibler) Bogh; great-granddaughter, Josie Otten; brothers-in-law, Sheldon Peterson and Harold Bibler preceded her in death.
She leaves behind her husband, Wayne Hansen and his family. Her children: Janet (Greg) Otten, Jerry (Marlene) Bibler, Diane (Greg) Wede and Marvin Bibler; thirteen grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren survive her.
