Jeffery William Husby, the son of William Earl and Betty Peterson Husby, was born April 7, 1953 in Menomonie, WI. He received his early education in Menomonie and in 1968, the family moved to Spencer, Iowa where he finished his education and graduated from the Spencer High School in 1971.
Jeff married Karen Bishop in 1972 and to this union one son Kevin was born. Jeff owned and operated his own trucking business for several years in Spencer. On October 19, 1979, Jeff married Clohe Patnode in Jackson, MN. He was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church. In his spare time, Jeff loved spending time with his grandchildren, his cars and dogs. He also enjoyed spending time watching football with his son.
On June 19, 2011, Jeff passed away at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 58. He is preceded in death by his father, William on January 4, 1993 and his half brother, Tom Dougherty, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Clohe of Spencer; his children: Kevin William Husby of Sioux Falls, SD and Tuesday (Frank) Casados of Tracy, CA; grandchildren: Ethan, Claire and Emma; his mother, Betty, Dougherty of Spencer, IA; one sister, Lorie (Robert) Peters of Spencer, IA; step brother, Michael Dole; nieces: Heather (Nick) Ketcham of Spencer, IA, Brenda Hammerschmidt of Rosemount, MN, Shawn Patnode of Inver Grove Heights, MN and Kelly Tessier of Hastings, MN; nephews: Mark Clifton of Inver Grove Heights, MN and Regie Patnode Jr. of Inver Grove Heights, MN; other relatives and many, many friends.
SERVICES
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30am on Friday, June 24, 2011 at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Spencer.
