Jeffrey Steven Henaman, the son of Earl Charles and Shirley (Hively) Henaman, was born on August 7, 1947, in Spencer. His childhood and early education years were spent by attending many different schools in the communities he lived in.
On November 3, 1970, Jeffrey married Sandra Funk in Sioux Falls, SD. Following their marriage, they moved to Liberal, KS and then Panama City, FL before settling in Spencer, in 1971. Jeffrey worked as a truck driver for Heiter and Schaffer Trucking Companies as well as other places over the forty years he has been a trucker. He was a member of the American Legion in Spencer. In his spare time, he liked to hunt and fish and spend time with his friends and his special dog, Lucy.
Jeffrey passed away on September 5, 2010, at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE, at the age of 63. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sandra in 2005 and three sisters: Kathy Reynolds, Lori Meyer and Barbara Henaman.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Jennifer Henaman of Pasadena, TX; his son, Joshua Henaman of Los Angeles, CA; two brothers: Jon Henaman of Hartley, IA and Earl Henaman of Spencer, IA; two sisters: Julie Holding and her husband, Joe of Spencer, IA and Lynn Hefner and her husband, Rick of Spencer, IA; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00P.M., Friday, September 10, 2010, at the Warner Chapel in Spencer. There will be a Military Service conducted by the American Legion Glen Pedersen Post #1 of Spencer, following the Memorial Service.
