Jessie Grace Kissinger

Jesina Grietje Weyer (Jessie Grace Weyer), the daughter of Nicholas and Maria Arends Weyer, was born in the Netherlands on October 25, 1925. She resided in Hawarden and worked as a waitress. She met and married Lynn F. Kissinger in 1946. She resided in Sioux City, Iowa, until 2004, when she moved to Spencer, Iowa. Jessie passed away on July 28, 2006, at the Milford Care Center in Milford, Iowa, at the age of 80. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lynn; brothers: Peter Weyer and his wife, Hattie, and Bernard Weyer and first wife, Betty; sons-in-law, Shannon Osborn and Jim Douglas; daughter-in-law, Laura Kissinger and granddaughter, Sunshine Kissinger. She will be lovingly missed by five children: Paul Kissinger, Kathleen Osborn, Barbara Douglas, Mary Meister and her husband, Arnold, and David Kissinger; one brother, Frank Weyer; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Her favorite times were when she was quilting, crafting and spending time with her family. She also loved spending time with her kitty, Benny.
