Jessieca Lynn Buettner

Jessieca Lynn Buettner, the daughter of Rick and Sharon Kolsrud Buettner, was born August 19, 1981 in Algona, Iowa. Her family moved to Dixon, CA, when she was 2 weeks old to live with her grandparents. They later moved to West Palm Beach, FL, where she received her early education. When she was in 2nd grade, they moved to Marathon, IA, where she finished her education at Laurens-Marathon Schools. During her adult life, she worked for a short time as a waitress, until her failing health prevented her from working. Jessieca was a very caring person, who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She had a unique zest for life and enjoyed baking, bingo, swimming, roller-skating among many other outdoor activities. Jessieca passed away at Avera-McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at the age of 26, following a long battle with Huntington's disease. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sharon Buettner; her grandfather, Eugene Urban; her uncle, Danny Buettner; two aunts and her Grandma Kolsrud. Left to cherish her memory are her grandmother, Donna Urban of Spencer; her father, Rick Buettner of Des Moines, IA; her brother, Jereamy Buettner of Spencer; her children: Desiree Buettner of Estherville, IA, Tyrome and Audria Launderville of Alta, IA and Danelle Siefer of Alta, IA; several aunts and uncles; a very special friend, Betsy Johnson of Spencer and several other friends.
