Joan Noel

April 11, 1924 — April 20, 2007

Joan Noel, the daughter of George and Flaurette Todd Resseguie was born April 11, 1924 in Terril, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in Terril on the farm with her parents, sisters and beloved animals. She graduated from Spencer High School. Joan married Harry Noel, Jr. and from this union, four children were born. Her life was spent taking care of her children, her home and her yard in Spencer. Joan was a member of the Moose Lodge, the Humane Society, and was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, tomboy, pilot, horsewoman, cowgirl and friend of animals. Mom was the original "sweater girl!" She loved the West, excelled in spelling, penmanship and grammar. Joan had a corny sense of humor and shared her views and opinions with everyone. Joan passed away at the Spencer Hospital on Friday, April 20, 2007. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Ruth Pullen and June Fletcher, and Harry. She is survived by her four children: Sue and her husband, Al Griman of Phoenix, AZ, Jill and her husband, Robert Ouren of Park City, MT, Robin Noel and her fianc�, Tom Jones of Branson, MO and Sam Noel and his fianc�, Sharon Cain of Okoboji, IA; four grandchildren: Dawn Maze of Des Moines, IA, Jon and his wife, Anita Francis of Ft. Leavenworth, KS, Amber and her husband, Jim Snider of Prescott Valley, AZ and Stephany Jo Ashlock of Spirit Lake, IA; 7 great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

SERVICES

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.

Riverside Cemetery Spencer, Iowa Joan's family would like to invite all of her friends and relatives to join them in a time of fellowship for a lunch served at Joan's house following the graveside services.
