Joanne Tuttle

     Jo Anne (Campbell) Tuttle entered into the loving embrace of Jesus on September 9, 2023 at a senior living facility in Inver Grove Heights, MN.  She was 96.  

     Jo Anne married Thomas Tuttle in 1952.  They lived in Spencer, IA. Their daughter, Jane Tuttle, was born in 1956, and in 1969, the family moved to Lake Okoboji in Wahpeton, IA.

     She graduated from Iowa State University in Ames, and for 16 years, Jo Anne taught home economics to high school students in Spencer, Clear Lake, and Ruthven. After retiring from teaching, she enjoyed working at the Spencer Public Library. Joanne was well known to those around her as being meticulously frugal--cutting coupons, sewing clothes for her twin sisters, and being careful never to spend more than she absolutely had to. She loved her family and moved to Minnesota in 2016 to be closer to them as she got older. 

     She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Tuttle, her daughter Jane Tuttle, and her brother, Sam Campbell.  She is survived by twin sisters, Judy Simon and Joy Birch, sister-in-law, Dorothy Campbell and several nieces and nephews.  

     Jo Anne will be buried at  Riverside Cemetery in Spencer, Iowa. A graveside memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 20 at 1 pm.  Reception to follow.
