Joel Allen Jackson

October 13, 1953 — July 22, 2013

Joel Allen Jackson, the son of Joe and Jane (Richmond) Jackson, was born October 13, 1953 in Clinton, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in Clinton, where he received his education, graduating from Clinton High School. He continued his education a Northwest Iowa Technical College in Sheldon, Iowa. After his schooling, he worked as an electrician. Joel married Pam Wierema on November 16, 1974 in Fulton, Illinois. After their marriage, he worked as a supervisor for National of Spencer for many years. Joel enjoyed fishing in his early years and was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs. Joel passed away at his home in Spencer on Monday, July 22, 2013 at the age of 59. He was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Pam of Spencer, Iowa; two daughters: Amanda Johanson and her husband, Troy of Sutherland, IA and Sarah Jackson-Christ and her husband, Jason Christ of Lakewood, Colorado; 3 grandchildren: Cody and Melina Johanson and Alyssa Eddy; two sisters: Patricia Milder and her husband, Kenneth of Clinton, IA and Virginia Jennings and her husband, Raymond of Muscatine, IA; other relatives and many friends.

VISITATION

Visitation will begin 5:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 24, with the family present from 5 to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday Evening at the Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.
