John Aaron Young, the son of Daymon and Sally (Boydston), was born on February 17, 1974, in Yankton, South Dakota. John grew up in the Fort Dodge area, receiving his early education in Otho and then attending high school in Fort Dodge. After graduation, he attended Iowa Central Community College, where he received his associate degree in law enforcement. Following graduation, he worked security for two years and worked for Hog Slat for the last seven years.
John enjoyed four wheeling and belonged to the Little Sioux Explorers club in Spencer for seven years, camping and watching NASCAR. John had a great sense of humor and was very sarcastic. John also liked to spend time in the summer helping on his uncle's ranch in South Dakota, but most of all he was a great dad and loved to spend time with his children. John passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at the age of 36. He was preceded in death by his father and his sister, Amber Leah Young.
Left to cherish his memory are his two children: Kamden Matthew and Kylee Marie both of Spencer; his loving friend and the mother of his children, Kristine Soat of Spencer; his mother, Sally Young of Little Rock, IA; a brother, Monty Young of Columbus, OH; an uncle, Pete Boydston of South Dakota; other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 27, 2010 at the DaySpring Assembly of God Church in Spencer.
