John E. Loudermilk

John E. Loudermilk, the son of Sherman and Mildred (Pruin) Loudermilk, was born November 16, 1944 in Spencer, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in the Milford and Terril, Iowa area, where he attended Milford Schools and later graduated from Terril High School in 1963. Following his schooling, he began his farming career. John married Jennifer Larson on June 10, 1972 in Spencer, Iowa and to this union two children were born: Jerred and Jessica. Throughout most of his adult life, John farmed near Dickens, until his retirement. He had most recently worked as a Security Supervisor at Polaris for 8 years until his permanent retirement in May of 2008. He was a member of the First Congregational Church in Spencer, where he was active on many boards and committees. John was a craftsman and enjoyed woodworking, welding and stained glass. John passed away at the Ruthven Care Center in Ruthven, Iowa on Friday, October 7, 2011 at the age of 66. He was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory are one son, Jerred of Pony, Montana; one daughter, Jessica and her husband, Ryan Kvach of Ames, IA; one granddaughter, Kiersten Kvach of Ames; two sisters: Sharon and her husband, Stan Erickson of Burnsville, MN and Sue and her husband, Gary McMichael of Eugene, OR; one brother, Sherman Loudermilk and his wife, Diane of Charles City, IA; his ex-wife, Jennifer Loudermilk of Royal; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M.,Friday, October 14, 2011 at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.
