John Andrew Giza, the son of John Philip and Magdalena Mary Sugel, was born December 13, 1923, in Genoa City, Wisconsin. His childhood years were spent in Chicago, IL, where he received his education.
John married Frances "Nancy" Zerdin on May 14, 1955, in Chicago, Illinois and entered the military serving with the U.S. Army from 1943 until his honorable discharge in 1964, retiring after 20 years of serving his country. Following his discharge, they lived in California where he was a postal employee for the U.S. Government for 20 years until his retirement.
Mr. Giza passed away at the Prairie View Home in Sanborn, Iowa, on Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at the age of 84. He was preceded in death by six sisters and one brother.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Frances (Nancy) Giza of Sutherland, IA; one sister, Dorothy Giza; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Memorial services will be held 10:30 A.M., Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sutherland, Iowa.
