Joseph Dennis Vodraska

     Joseph Dennis Vodraska was born January 15, 1951 to the parents of Louis and Evelyn (Kelsey) Vodraska in Owatonna, MN.  Following his education, Joe worked various jobs in the Spirit Lake area.

     In 1987, Joe married Dawn Kladstrup.  They lived in Spirit Lake, Humboldt and Spencer.  Joe worked at Arnolds Park Amusement Park and then Godfather’s Pizza in Humboldt, Spirit Lake and Spencer until his retirement due to health reasons.  In Joe’s spare time, he enjoyed working on his trucks, playing card games, watching old country western shows and taking Dawn to area towns to shop and visit family and friends.  In December 2018, Joe and Dawn moved into the Pearl Valley Nursing Home in Primghar, IA. 

     Joe passed away on February 4, 2021 at the Pearl Valley Nursing Home in Primghar at the age of 70.  He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dawn in May 2019; son, Daron Vodraska; brothers: Francis and Larry; sisters: Kathryn Fitzgerald and Marcella McCord.

     Left to cherish his memory are his brother, Tom Vodraska of Osceola, IA; sisters: Pat Jensen of Gilmore City, IA and Bernadine Reis of Pocahontas, IA; brother-in-law, Steve (Linda) Kladstrup of Spencer, IA; sister-in-law, Shelly (Curt) Johnson of Spencer, IA; other relatives and friends.
