Joseph Walter Morris suddenly passed on July 11, 2018 doing what he loved. Joseph Walter Morris was born on March 28, 1941 to Melvin and Emma (Hayes) Morris in Monterey, MN. In 2012 Joseph remarried to Alauna Telbot. They resided in Spencer, IA, where Joseph operated a trucking company. Joseph enjoyed spending time traveling the United States, going to the casino on a regular basis and loved the company of his friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dave Morris; two brothers-in-law, Bill Holland and Clarence Palmer.

Joseph previously married Sylvia Nutt on March 23, 1959 and from the marriage three honest and successful children were born: his daughters: Dawn Hartung (David) of Welcome, MN and Darla Morris-Preble (Steve) of Minneapolis, MN; his son, Darron Morris of St. Paul, MN; his grandchildren: Dustyn (Leah), Dayton (Michelle), Daylin Hartung, Kelsey, Kyle (Luke) Preble, Zachary (Paige) and Alexander Morris; his great grandchildren, Henry, Hayden and Kinley Hartung; his sisters: Luella Palmer of Washington, Elaine Holland of Kansas; his brother, Kenny Morris (Mavis) of Sherburn, MN; his sister-in-law, Marleen Gettler of Sherburn, MN; many nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.

SERVICES

Memorial Services will be 10:30 A.M., Thursday, July 19 at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.

VISITATION

Viasitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

INTERMENT

His wishes were to be cremation.
