Joyce Agnes Carpenter

     Joyce Agnes Carpenter, the daughter of Hugo and Dorothy (Herdini) Willhite, was born on September 7, 1951, in Olivia, Minnesota. She was raised and received her early education there attending St. Aloysius Catholic School and then Olivia High School.

     On January 24, 1974 she married Norman Carpenter in Arnolds Park, Iowa. The couple lived in Milford. She worked at the Milford Nursing Home as a cook for several years and then worked at Buy Rite Foods for a short time before working at Casey’s for over 10 years. She was a hard worker and enjoyed seeing and spending time with her grandchildren. She also liked to shop and watch tv.

     Joyce passed away at her home on Friday, January 29, 2021, at the age of 69. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2017; her brothers: Chuck, Mike and Bryant and her sister, Marilyn Wellnitz.

     Left to cherish her memory are her son, Chris Carpenter of Terril, IA; her daughter, Amy Carpenter of Milford, IA; her granddaughters: Katrina Ann Carpenter and Jocelyn Carpenter; her sisters: Kathy Koglin, Barb Scheer and Brenda (Randy) Norcutt all of Minnesota; her brothers: Miles Willhite, Ronnie (Mary) Willhite both of Minnesota and Wayne Willhite of Florida; other relatives and friends.
