Joyce Ann Cain

Joyce Ann Cain, the daughter of Amos and Vinetta Brown Lloyd, was born January 29, 1933, in Hartley, IA. Her childhood years were spent in Hartley where she received her education, graduating from Hartley High School. Joyce married Ronald John Cain on December 10, 1950, in Hartley, IA. Following their marriage, they lived in Mapleton, MN, for one year. Ron enlisted with the Air Force on August 18, 1951, and they were stationed with the military for four years until his honorable discharge in October of 1955. Following his discharge, they lived in Spencer from 1955 until 1962, when they moved to a farm near Dickens. She worked as a waitress for the Center Caf� for 20 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Dickens United Methodist Church where she was active with the UMW. She passed away at the Spencer Hospital on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at the age of 76. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald on September 23, 2001, and an infant grandson, Caleb Matthews. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Rodney Cain of Cokato, MN, Alan Cain of Dickens, IA, Penny Cain of Pontiac, IL, Carmen Matthews of Spencer, IA, Jeffrey Cain of Spencer, IA; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday November 9, 2009, at the Dickens Methodist Church in Dickens, Iowa
