Joyce Ann Hebbel

Joyce Hebbel, the daughter of Louis and Myrtle (Lichtenberg) Gertsmeier, was born July 14, 1939 in Storm Lake, IA. She was raised on a farm in the Storm Lake, Iowa area, where she received her education graduating from Storm Lake High School on May 28, 1957. After high school, she worked for Citizens Bank in Storm Lake. Joyce married Wilbur (Willie) Hebbel on May 27, 1966 in Denver, CO. Following their marriage, they lived in Spencer, where she worked with Willie as co-owners of Midwest Piano and Organ Company. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Spencer. Joyce enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing cards, visiting with friends and going out to eat. Joyce passed away at Longhouse Residence in Spencer, Iowa on Friday, July 30, 2010 at the age of 71. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Willie on January 13, 2008. Left to cherish her memory are her stepson, Larry Geisinger and his wife, Nancy of Spencer and their family, a stepson, Norm Hebbel of Arizona and a stepdaughter, Cheri Leister of San Antonio, TX and her family; her goddaughter, Megan (Kramer) Sampson of Urbandale, IA; other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M., Thursday, August 5, 2010 at the First Congregational Church in Spencer.

INTERMENT
Riverside Cemetery Spencer, Iowa Military services will be conducted by Glen Pedersen Post #1 - American Legion , Spencer, Iowa following the graveside services. A lunch and time of fellowship will be held back at the church following the graveside services.
